Maths Ambassadors
Meet our Maths Ambassadors for this year!
Our Maths Ambassadors are in charge of sharing their love of everything MATHS with their classmates and the whole school! Here are some of their roles and responsibilities:

This year, we are planning a Maths House Event, NSPCC Number Day and Enterprise 2024
Maths Competition 2023
OJS held it’s first EVER OJS Maths Competition on Friday 12th October 2023.
All children took part in a ‘try outs’ session where they had a go at a Microsoft forms quiz with x30 questions. The top scorer for each house then went on to represent their house in the finals! In the finals, there were x6 rounds (times tables, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions, shape, general knowledge) The x6 children (per house) worked together to answer each question and had 30 seconds to answer each question. Each correct answer was worth 1 point and our fantastic Maths Ambassadors were on hand to collate the scores!
Prizes:
The winners were Red Kites all received a winner’s certificate and a Rubix Cube, plus 100 Oatlands Points for their house.
2nd place: Blue Jays and received a ‘well done for taking part’ certificate and 75 Oatlands Points.
3rd place: Green Kingfishers and all received a ‘well done for taking part’ certificate and 50 Oatlands Points.
4th place: Yellow Hammers and all received a ‘well done for taking part’ certificate and 25 Oatlands Points.
