Oatlands Junior School children officially break a Guinness World Record!

Oatlands Junior School is thrilled to announce its participation in breaking a Guinness World Record on National Poetry Day 2024. The event, which took place on October 3, brought together thousands of students, teachers, and poetry enthusiasts from around the globe in a unified celebration of literary creativity.
The record-setting achievement involved the largest group of participants simultaneously reciting a poem. The event was organized in collaboration with local schools, community groups, and poetry organizations, making it a remarkable display of teamwork and passion for the arts.
The poem chosen for the record attempt was penned by a renowned poet and resonated deeply with the participants, reflecting themes of unity, hope, and the power of words. The entire school community, including parents and staff, joined in the recitation, creating a memorable and inspiring event.
