PTA Information
This page will keep you up to date with all the latest activities and forthcoming events.
We organise a number of social and fundraising events throughout the year, in order to raise money for our school. The money raised is used to buy new equipment, or to fund activities at the school. We are always looking for assistance in running events. If you can help in any way, please come along to one of our meetings, contact your Class Rep or send us an email (ptaoatlands@gmail.com).

We are always looking for help in running events and new ideas.
The PTA hold various events for both children, parents/carers and families from school discos, lollipop Fridays, children’s movie nights to the summer fair, family bingo nights and general social events. We hold our meetings every full term online on a Thursday evening.
In addition to the committee, each class has their own Class Rep which can be a joint role. The key role of the Class Rep is to communicate between the class, teachers and the PTA regarding events and meetings.
If you would like to get involved you can do so by becoming a Class Rep, attending the PTA meetings or contacting us at ptaoatlands@gmail.com

MUGA FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
Help Us Build a New Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) on the playing field.
We are raising funds to build a brand-new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) at Oatlands Junior School.
A MUGA is a versatile sports space where pupils can play football, hockey, netball and basketball during P.E. lessons. As an all-weather pitch, it can be used all year round — not only for lessons, but also at break times and lunchtimes.
The new MUGA will provide much-needed additional play space on our busy playground, while also helping to free up space in the school hall.
As well as supporting children’s physical health, the MUGA will also have a positive impact on mental wellbeing, giving pupils more opportunities to be active, play together and enjoy time outdoors.
There are lots of ways to support our fundraising campaign. Please email ojsmuga@gmail.com if you have any ideas you would like to discuss with the PTA or come along to one of our events. We're looking forward to working with OJS parents and the broader Harrogate community to make this happen.

At OJS we are very committed to sustainability and making our school more environmentally friendly. One area in which we do this is through a pre-loved uniform shop in which we re-sell donated school uniform, PE kits and OJS school bags.
Would you like to run the second-hand uniform sales for OJS? We are looking for help from September 2025. Please contact ptaoatlands@gmail.com if you are interested in finding out more.
