House Event: Spelling Bee Competition
The children participated in year group Spelling Bee competitions: we were very impressed with the determination shown in the lead up to and during the assemblies! Following class competitions, three children were awarded with a certificate: Bee Creative, Bee Attitude and the Spelling Bee Class Winner. The winners then competed against winners across their year group in a Spelling Bee Final. Well done to all of the children who participated and a huge congratulations to our overall winners from each year group!
Harrogate Town Competition
Harrogate Town Community Foundation launched a competition call 'Active October' all of the children in Harrogate were challenged to be as active as possible throughout the month of October. The Grizzly Bears ran, cycled, walked, swam, played lots of matches in many different sports and some even had gymnastic classes most nights after school. After all of this hard work, the Grizzly Bears class found out they had WON the October Active Challenge out of all schools in Harrogate. As part of their prize, 4 first team Harrogate Town players and the infamous Harry Gator came to join the class for a football session in school. The session was thoroughly enjoyed by all! Thank you to the Grizzly Bears for all of their hard work and for the Harrogate Town Community Foundation for running the competition.
